Over 750 committed and dedicated attorneys, community members, and youth volunteer with Utah Law Related Education each year.
- Our Mock Trial program utilizes volunteers as judges for over 100 junior high and high school mock trials statewide and as attorney coaches for mock trial teams.
- Our We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution program has individuals volunteer their time as judges, facilitators, and timers at our junior high and high school district and state mock congressional hearings. To sign up to volunteer for We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Program visit the program's volunteer page.
- Salt Lake Peer Court has student volunteers adjudicate and mentor the youth offenders after receiving training in conflict resolution, mediation, bias awareness, communication skills, peer mentoring, state statutes, team building, and courtroom procedures. Our adult Peer Court advisors receive similar training and are assigned to youth volunteers with whom they attend the court hearings to provide support and guidance when needed.
Please complete our online Volunteer Application if you would like to be involved with Utah Law Related Education in one of these activities described above.

Mentoring
Attorneys donate time to visit with elementary, junior high, and senior high school students. The purpose of the program is to provide a forum for the exchange of practical information about the legal rights and responsibilities of students and stimulate dialogue regarding current civic issues.
